Volunteer Actions 5/13

Hi All,

Thank you all for the amazing work last week. We are able to secure tons of household items for friends across the city. We have a couple of asks major asks for this week so please see below.

1)Red Shed Village homeless encampment on St Paul Street is requesting a few volunteers to help create part time stewards. The North Ave Mission located there would like to have an on-site Host/concierge to hang out for 2-3 hrs per day or evening to greet visitors and ensure the safety and security for the village. You can contact mocorbitt@gmail.com for more details or text  "host" to 410-772-4900.

2) CASA still needs more volunteers to help deliver groceries to immigrant and low-income families. Specifically, they are requesting drivers and packagers. E-mail Lydia directly (lwalther@wearecasa.org) and indicate your interest in volunteering for the food distribution. There's a training (online) each Tuesday night and most of the deliveries are done Wednesday and Thursday. That's where you will learn about what you will do, the hours you can ask for, the social distancing rules in place, etc.

We all feel so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful collection of people. Please never hesitate to reach out to us with questions or comments.  -------------------
