Mayor Young Announces Changes to Water Billing - Meter Reading Operations

Mayor Bernard C. “Jack” Young announced immediate changes to the Department of Public Works' water billing - meter reading operations. Baltimore will outsource water meter reading operations to the same third-party vendor that installed water meters throughout the city earlier this decade.


Mayor Young stated that it has become clear that the Department of Public Works Customer Service and Support Division cannot continue to sustain the current meter operations, which it depends upon to generate water bills. For the mayor's full press release, see this link.
