50th Annual Abell Community Street Fair 2023 - Sunday, September 10, noon - 5 p.m.
Each September, the Abell Improvement Association hosts the Abell Community Street Fair. This year Abell is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Abell Community Street Fair. The AIA's biggest fundraiser, the Street Fair is an annual celebration of what makes this community unique, and what makes urban living great. With Abell Avenue's brightly-painted rowhouses as a backdrop, the Street Fair features live entertainment, great food, local artists and vendors, and Baltimore's Best Silent Auction. At a far more manageable scale than the oversized festivals in neighboring communities, Abell's Street Fair retains the authenticity and intimacy that defines our community. Our annual Street Fair is an opportunity for our community to reconnect, relax and be reminded of what makes Abell one of Charm City's most charming spots.
Updates for rainy day:
See map below for our moderated Street Fair layout.
- Food trucks will be at Peabody Heights Brewery
- Stages have moved; some bands are performing at Peabody Heights Brewery
- The children’s parade will start at the Abell Open Space and march towards the porch stage to see @kevinsherry_ !
- A handful of vendors will be inside the brewery, including the silent auction.
The fair couldn’t happen without volunteers! They help with setting up the event (shifts starting as early as 8 a.m.), with running activities during the event, and with cleaning up after the event (last shift ending no later than 6:30 p.m.). Those interested can sign up for a shift here: https://volunteersignup.org/3YKWJ
If you are interested in becoming a vendor at the fair, please use this form: http://bit.ly/abell-vendors
Donations of homemade baked goods are needed - cookies, cupcakes, muffins, whole cakes, pies, and bread, etc. If you can bake something, contact Susanne Riveles by Labor Day - email@example.com
The map below is the footprint of the Street Fair. Please make sure that your car has been moved out of any area inside the red lines by 9 p.m. on September 9th (the night before the Street Fair).
