Notice regarding 32nd Street Open Space

As we all know, the Abell Open Space is a community treasure and can serve as a great outlet for stir crazy kids and adults at this time. The Open Space is also a Baltimore City Park. Therefore, we must observe any directives from Baltimore City Recreation & Parks regarding City parks.

The latest directive from BCRP states:

To prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Baltimore City Recreation and Parks has closed all high congestion, traffic and use areas such as courts (tennis, bocce, basketball, etc.), pavilions and playgrounds until further notice. At this time, local parks, trails and open space remain accessible while practicing social distancing - at least 6 feet apart at all times and in groups of less than 10. The following measures are effective immediately and are in accordance with local, state and federal healthcare guidelines.

This is a rapidly changing situation, and directives regarding parks could be updated again in the coming days. You can stay up to date on alerts from BCRP on this website. There also also links to their twitter and facebook accounts on the site.
