Join your neighbors in the Abell Open Space for Friday Movie Nights! Movies start at sunset and short G-Rated cartoons play before each screening. Bring a blanket and snacks.

July 26: Wall-E (2008)

A Pixar animation set in the distant future.

A small waste-collecting robot inadvertently embarks on a space journey that will ultimately decide the fate of mankind.

August 2: Rear Window (1954)

Jimmy Stuart stars in this Alfred Hitchcock film about a wheelchair-bound photographer who spies ion his neighbors from his apartment window and becomes convinced one of them has committed murder.

August 9: The Last Starfighter (1984)

A space opera about a teenager recruited to an alien space force to defend the galaxy.

August 16: Labyrinth (1986)

A Jim Henson fantasy film starring David Bowie as the Goblin King. A teenage girl must race against time to solve the labyrinth and rescue her kidnapped baby brother.

August 23: Boxtrolls (2014)

A stop motion animation about a young orphaned boy raised by underground cave-dwelling trash collectors. He must try to save his boxtroll friends from an evil exterminator.

August 30: Duck Soup (1933)

A Marx Brothers film about an absurd leader installed by a wealthy donor to run a made-up country called Freedonia, and the war that ensues.

September 6: Robin Hood (1973)

A Disney animation about the story of the legendary outlaw, Robin Hood.
