Memorial Weekend Community Picnic - Sunday, May 26 - 5 p.m.

Join your neighbors in the Abell Open Space on 32nd Street starting at 5 p.m. on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend for our traditional picnic. The AIA will provide hot dogs, burgers (meat and vegetarian), and sodas. Please bring a side dish, dessert or beverage of your choice to share. Come with your chair or blanket, and hope for a sunny day! A few volunteers are needed to help set up and to take a shift at the grill. Please sign up to help at https://bit.ly/2XUcYBS. General Membership Meeting - Wednesday, May 1

All Abell residents are invited to attend the quarterly General Membership Meeting on Wednesday, May 1, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m at Peabody Heights Brewery, 401 E. 30th Street. Light refreshments will be served. Everyone one is welcome - children, too. Neighborhood Walks resume - Tuesday, April 23, 7:30 p.m.

Join neighbors for a walk with Tony Brown, Safety Director of the Benefits District, and an officer from Northern District Police. The walk begins at the Open Space on 32nd Street between Guilford and Abell. Gather at the conclusion for refreshments and conversation - location to be announced at the walk. All ages and pets are welcome! Neighborhood safety walks will continue though the summer and fall. They take place monthly on the fourth Tuesday beginning at 7:30 p.m., starting from the Open Space. Meet neighbors and find out what's going on in the community. Get updates on recent crimes. Voice your questions and concerns. Do your part for a Safe and Strong Community. #neighborhoodwalk #sa
