The Abell Community Street Fair
Celebrating Urban Living at Its Best

The Abell Improvement Association proudly hosts the Abell Community Street Fair every year in September. The Street Fair is held on Abell Avenue between 31st and 32nd Streets in Baltimore’s Charles Village. This annual event brings people from throughout the region to celebrate urban living at its best.

More than just a block party or neighborhood picnic, the Abell Community Street Fair is a wideopen invitation to all who appreciate Baltimore to come celebrate urban living at its best in one of the city’s most charming neighborhoods!

  • Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity
  • Maryland SPCA
  • Village Learning Place
  • Imogene Boutique
  • Airbrush Unlimited Temporary Tattoos
  • 10,000 Villages
  • Marian House
  • Girl Scouts of Central Maryland; and
  • A slew of fabulous local artists.

Porch / Sidewalk Sales – Time to clean out that crawl space. Remember: one person’s junk is another’s treasure. (But no bread machines, please!) Sell what you want from your own porch or sidewalk.  All are encouraged to do this, and the layout of the event will help to make this a success for all of us!

Children’s Activities – Can you say Moon Bounce?  Plus face-painting and lots more.

Bake Sale – Always popular – get there early or risk missing out on the cakes, cookies, and other assorted yummies.

Food/Grill Station – Grillmeister Jake Seagull will need volunteers throughout the day to help grill dogs, burgers (meaty and veggie), smores and other tasty stuff. Not to be missed: grilled pop-tarts. Intrigued? So are we!

Plus:

Membership and T-shirts – Please become a member of Abell Improvement Association.  There’s never been a better time. And at $5/person, how can you go wrong?

AND, we’re always in need of people to help with set-up and clean-up on the day of the Fair.

The Abell Improvement Association wishes to thank Johns Hopkins University for their generous monetary donation to this year’s Street Fair.
